Goldcrest on Elm signed limited edition wooden artwork size 21 x 27 cm created in 2021

Goldcrest, Britain’s smallest bird! I spotted a pair of these nest building with moss, on Malmesbury’s very own Kings Heath. I was with my wife and it was the first time either of us had ever seen one. It was a few hours before we went for vaccinations.  This then inspired me to paint this limited edition version which for me represents a memory and a feeling of hope for the future.

Artwork on beautiful piece of grainy elm with rustic edge running across top.  A real unique piece of natural wood with a really characteristic notch and 3D branch perch.  All the wood used in the Stencil Shed is sustainably sourced.
