‘Oh Deer’ - Roe Deer new artwork for Christmas 2025. After seeing these beautiful creatures myself a few times over the past few years, I had a great discussion with my new local wood supplier of barky ash planks, about this lovely British animal. He quizzed me on why they have such short antlers and obviously I didn't know why! Apparently they shead their antlers once a year and therefore makes all the deer males and females look similar and young. With him being local to Malmesbury and countryman, he has and been milling wood for many years. He knowledge of our local countryside is vast, so I always enjoy my visits to collect another batch of local barky Ash and Oak.

This particular artwork has a natural grain in the wood which gives it a rustic feel. Beautiful colours from the grain on this canvas blend well with the spray paint and colours of the deer.

100% handmade in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. Using Oak wood from sustainably sourced managed woodland here in the UK. Ready to hang, signed and limited edition numbered on the reverse. Measures size 19 x 32cm. Number 2 from edition of 60.
