Goldcrest, Britain’s smallest bird! I spotted a pair of these nest building with moss, on Malmesbury’s very own Kings Heath. I was with my wife and it was the first time either of us had ever seen one. It was a few hours before we went for vaccinations. This then inspired me to paint this limited edition version which for me represents a memory and a feeling of hope for the future.
